TRUMPF Inc. names new heads of laser applications, engineers

TRUMPF Inc. has named Ian Frank as head of applications engineers for TruLaser laser cutting machines at its North American headquarters in Farmington, Conn. He has more than 18 years of manufacturing experience, beginning his career with the company in the assembly department before moving into a direct product consultation and customer service role. In addition, Travis Stempky has moved into the role of head of laser technology applications at the company’s Laser Technology Centers in Plymouth, Mich., and Santa Clara, Calif. He has been with TRUMPF for more than six years, joining the company as a laser application engineer in 2017. He previously served as the supervisor of the high-powered laser application lab for welding, cutting, and laser metal deposition technologies.
