A large, softball-inspired sculpture is getting installed at the USA Softball Hall of Fame Complex.
The sculpture is called \"Trajectory.\" Artist Pete Beeman is using a crane to install stainless steel arcs forming a trajectory of a large softball bouncing from the top of the stadium. Ball Mill Grinding Video
The focal point of the sculpture is a three-foot-diameter glass sphere that appears to be knocked out of the stadium and embedded in the stadium’s plaza.
The sculpture, which cost $200,000, was funded through Oklahoma City’s 1% for the Arts program.
