DARMSTADT, Germany—It's not just that noise, vibration and harshness products have to do more to ensure that electric vehicles stay smooth and quiet.

It's that they have to do it under pressure. Quite literally. Staining Interior Doors And Trim

That's because battery-electric vehicles, which can weigh as much as 18-24 percent more than their internal combustion engine counterparts, demand more from chassis control products. Those products have to stand up to maximum loads, higher suspension pre-loads and greater overall durability demands.

Vibracoustic, a global manufacturer of NVH products, has released new chassis bushings that it says not only stand up to the increased weight of BEVs, but meet the performance expectations of OEMS and drivers, alike.

Because the ultimate goal, of course, is to create maximum comfort and ride quality, while doing it all quieter than ever before.

"As a global leader in automotive NVH management, the Vibracoustic experts used advanced simulations and drew upon their experience in optimizing rubber compounds to better understand the frequencies encountered, helping to mitigate them with a low-hardening rubber compound," Vibracoustic said in a statement.

For Vibracoustic, the materials are just one part of the equation. The newest offering is designed to handle dynamic load while driving and static preload while stationary.

And the company said it is doing all of that with sustainability in mind.
