CONGRATULATIONS to the Agricultural Mechanics Engineering (Welding) team! They placed FIRST in the STATE! The team was recognized with a 1st place banner at the 95th Ohio FFA Convention and Expo. The team members were Matthew Vollrath, Emerson Trapp, and Austin Bennett! Back in January, the team developed their own plan for a potting bench and developed a request for proposal to submit to the Ohio FFA for evaluation. When the team was selected as one of the top 12 teams to compete at the state competition, they began to spend countless hours in and out of class fabricating their potting bench and fine tuning their design. During the Ohio FFA Convention, they turned their blueprints into reality by building their potting bench in 3 hours from start to finish. The Welding Team was coached by Tom and Mallory Machine. If these members can dream it, they can build it!
