Modern Expo is displaying its Conveniq Pro parcel lockers, which feature an integrated micro market, at Parcel+Post Expo 2022 in Frankfurt, Germany.
The solution combines a parcel locker with a fully automated, refrigerated convenience store known as a micro market to offer customers parcels and snacks in one place. Modern Expo expects the solution to be applicable in a wide range of locations, including stores, airports, hotels, gas stations and offices. The locker works on AI technology and the ‘grab and go’ principle. It can be supplemented with coffee or hot food vending and all transactions can be carried out without a cashier, via an app. Parcel Locker Pick Up
At its booth, the company is also explaining the solution’s potential regarding new partnerships. It says that logistics operators could collaborate with local retailers who would fill the micro market with fresh products. This would expand the existing business model, open new market segments and gain customers, providing them with added value.
Roman Melnychuk, marketing manager for Modern Expo, said, “We have big clients interested in the product here at the show. This solution is great for those operators looking for a solution to generate more foot traffic and money from parcel lockers. In one machine you have a convenience store and a post office. We’re also in the process of developing the hot dog and coffee modules to complement our solutions for 2023.”
